At Eleven11 Interiors, we believe that design transforms not only spaces but also the lives of those who inhabit them. Our project at Atlas Peak Retreat exemplifies this philosophy. This 1200-square-foot home, perched on a sprawling 90-acre property at the top of Napa’s Atlas Peak Road, was reimagined as a minimalist haven blending Scandinavian simplicity with Americana influences.
Our client sought a full gut remodel of a once-neglected home to create a serene retreat with long-term versatility. Nestled in Napa’s natural beauty, the space needed to serve as a private escape today and as an office or guesthouse for a future winery on the property. Every detail needed to reflect practicality, comfort, and an understated elegance.

Design Challenges and Solutions
Budget Constraints
Despite a modest budget, we prioritized impactful design choices. For example, original steel-frame windows were retained to preserve character and reduce costs. A repurposed ironing board cabinet became a stunning bar area, featuring copper insets and smoky glass shelves.
Compact Spaces
Designing a luxurious yet functional bathroom within a small footprint was a top priority. We created a spa-inspired wet-room design using Brazilian slate porcelain tile and custom teak shelving.
Smart Technology + Eco Friendly Integration
All systems were smart-enabled, including a Tesla charger, Lutron lighting controls, and an EcoSmart fireplace with clean-burning biofuel.
Remote Location Logistics
Atlas Peak’s rural setting made sourcing materials and skilled tradespeople challenging. Creative problem-solving ensured every element was executed seamlessly, from the custom-built stairs to the hand-finished cabinetry.

Scandinavian Minimalism Meets Americana: A harmonious blend of practicality and rustic charm, inspired by Napa’s landscape and the client’s expat lifestyle.
The Results
The transformation is nothing short of remarkable. What was once a dilapidated structure is now a tranquil retreat that honors the rugged beauty of its surroundings. Every room offers breathtaking views, and the home balances minimalist design with warm, inviting details.
